Power Up from The Movement by Alphabet Rockers

What a song to start THE MOVEMENT... Power Up reflects an organic songwriting process where we centered our collective power. Elements of the song were created while in residency at The Alden Theater in Virginia mid-pandemic - and other parts are from musical solo responses in thinking about our power while in isolation in 2020.

We need connection and empowerment in all ways. While in quarantine, we all interviewed our family members about when they feel powerful and powerless; these conversations inspired the first three songs on the album.
