Near the banks of the Asón River in Cantabria, the tale of two Anjana sisters unfolds. These
elemental spirits of Cantabrian mythology are beautiful, youthful beings who protect the forests,
communicating with animals and plants. One had golden hair and was kind, while the other, with
silver hair, was mischievous, playing pranks on nearby villagers. Fed up with the complaints, the
golden-haired Anjana cast a spell, trapping her sister under the river's source. Her flowing silver
hair became the spectacular Cailagua Waterfall. Later, she sought to undo the spell, but she had
forgotten the incantation. Desperate, she now roams Brenovinto Lake’s library, endlessly searching
for the words to free her sister.
