Reboot your brain with subterranean basslines and psychedelic beats that buzz past the cerebrum and incite a primordial compulsion to move. “Feedback” is the first release for Alpha Pup for Andreilien, a longtime producer and performer of quintessential West Coast bass music.
Andrei Olenev’s first project Heyoka gained fans across the club and festival world with an always-evolving sound that merged many musical styles. Known as Andreilien for the past five years, the producer’s new four-track EP is a kaleidoscopic head-trip that’s knee-deep in sub bass and covered with dance floor dust.
“Unfold” wraps dank, sauced-up drums in elastic slams and a brain-erasing low end. Lead single “Zoom” spins off spacecraft-style with a boom-bastic bounce that’s stepped on with a gangsta lean. Get bigger speakers for the shakedown “Integer” and hover over quick-rolling breakbeats in “Stamina.”
Energized by viscous low-end frequencies and flights of imagination, “Feedback” brings Andreilien’s output to a new level of slap for the era of apocalypse.
Andrei Olenev has been a staple of the west coast psychedelic bass music scene for over a decade. His first project, Heyoka, brought him to festivals all over the world. Since 2012 he has been producing and performing as “Andreilien.” His sound combines elements of various musical styles without confining itself to any particular genre.
