When you'd say what I could be I'd only shake my head
Sick and tired of excuses and just lying in my bed
Will you make today a day of worthlessness
Or empty out your pockets and make with the time you wish you had instead

Walk into the back 'cause you never had enough
Oh it's so cold wish that I had bundled up
Turn the heat on or I guess you're outta luck
Out of state in a place miles away
Smile sometimes even when it's getting rough
Feeling so small's just a part of growing up
At the end of the day comes another one to love
One that I hope to see anyway

Every day, I'm so tired I could fall asleep at any time
And leave to somewhere where I'd keep these nasty thoughts behind
So I can go out and appreciate the sunshine
(that's what I hope this time)

Life is just a movie made of fractions of a scene
