Colombian Pastoral by Mystified
Intro: The Detective Drama is nothing new, and this release presents a model soundtrack for some problems in a big city involving drug smuggling. What makes this a little different is that all of the music has been generated. How noir is that? The processor itself is defining the gritty city of our celluloid dreams. Thomas set up a generative scenario with his Python routines, and knew he had hit paydirt when he heard the music pouring forth. It was like a cop on night beat, like a bad guy dreaming of escape. It was so realistic you almost believed the dream. I know my Hewlett Packard did.

Bio: Thomas has been writing music for decades. Generative music has always been an interest. In 2017, Thomas took a hiatus from his musical act, "mystified", and in 2019-2020, he worked to perfect techniques for loop-based music generation. He called this technique "Generative-Iterative". It is a sub-genre of Generative which focuses on the upside-down composing method of making loops, often with silence between iterations, and recording them as they intermingle in a browser window. Thomas has high hopes that, when it gets enough recognition, Generative-Iterative composing will be seen as a legitimate alternative to conventional, midi- or function- based generative.
