When I was young, I feared the down pressor,
For you know I don’t need no master,
Ten years later and I’ve come to see,
No one has done this to me but me.

The jail I’m in is only mine,
Not really caring is the only crime,
My bed is cold, and that’s what I get,
And now that it’s made, I must lie in it.

If I could change all the bad things I’ve done,
If I could give back all the things that I’ve won,

The only thing I don’t know is how.
