Bedfunk Celebrates Milestone 50th Release with Pat Bedeau & Hannah Khemoh
Bedfunk proudly marks its 50th label release with a special collaboration between label founder Pat Bedeau and acclaimed vocalist Hannah Khemoh. Hannah was among the first artists to work with Bedfunk and encouraged Pat to nurture their sound through the label, guidance that proved instrumental across our journey. It is only fitting that she returns for this landmark moment.
Pat has continued to strengthen his catalogue with a steady stream of releases on his own Bedfunk imprint, while also working with respected labels including Rhemi, Quantize, Nervous, Groove Odyssey and Atjazz Record Company. His productions have been championed by top DJs including Grammy-nominated Booker T, CJ MacIntosh, Groove Assassin, Ronnie Herel, Jamie 326, DJ Romain, Paul Stuart, Colin Williams, Soul Dynamic, The Journeymen, DJ Pope, Jimpster, Lars Behrenroth, Grant Nelson and Richard Earnshaw.
Hannah shines with multiple Traxsource No.1's to her name and is consistently among the platform's top-performing artists. Her extensive work with leading figures in house music reflects her continued rise, alongside a flourishing career as a performer and actress, where she received rave reviews in the role of Sylvia, standing in for Beverley Knight MBE.
This new record blends heartfelt emotion with soulful production. Pat delivers a rich, expressive backdrop, featuring multi-instrumentalist Ziggy Funk on keys. The iconic Bed & Funk fusion once again brings magic, elevated to new heights by Hannah's powerful lyricism and poised, masterful delivery, a craft refined through work with Grace Jones, Brian Ferry, Plan B, Wyclef Jean and Florence & The Machine.
Across the last 49 releases, Bedfunk has built a trusted catalogue including Pat Bedeau's album From The Mind Of, and collaborations with Rona Ray, Anna-Marie Johnson, Imaani, Jodie Erica, Cleveland Jones, and George Sida.
