Lyrics

I can only imagine how I'd meet the eyes,
A crooked insanity-ridden device,
Nearing the crux that I'm here to devise.
My intentions were pure and that's what I'll be judged by,
taking my place with the ashes in the sky.
I'd abide.

But a hellish pit on which you plan to build is still corruption's toy.
Was I really a leader or something more sinister, the rhetoric that I employed?

With cartilage dribbling down my chin (I led a succulent following)
Their temperament as tender as their skin (I led a succulent following)
It sustained me, please sustain.

What was that…?
What was that sound?

Look at me, validate me my friends.
I know you're nearby, we all have the ends and the means.
The ends and the means.
If this ungodly Yahoo's my only admirer,
I'd sooner defect from my eyes to inspire resistance from its gaze.
Resistance from my gaze.

I started a fire.
Nobody can know what happened here.
Good evening my friends, my closest disciples come near.
Though the entrance has crumbled, the windows are barred,
there's no way inside- call reality marred.
I'm so happy to see you, it must have been hard to get in here.
I think I've come to terms with what happened, inspired by the remnants I found,
our people's will can still be salvaged, I've noticed altruism's abound.

What was that…?
What was that sound?

With cartilage dribbling down my chin (I led a succulent following)
Their temperament as tender as their skin (I led a succulent following)
It sustained me, please sustain.
