I haven't been able to see my family in China for over three years now. Even though this is mostly because of the pandemic, it still reminds me of the stories of our ancestors. How they home for the far away and foreign land, in the hopes of finding a brighter for their families, they sacrificed so much. To celebrate this AAPI heritage month, i wanted to share this story.
