Glutwave 2 by Buttress O'Kneel

when i created GLUTWAVE last year (almost a full year ago now, october 2020), i let the computer decide which tracks i was going to release, and in what order, by letting the media player shuffle play order the tracks, and then just releasing the first 40 of them (because, it was 2020, and so the idea was it was just the first 20 tracks, then the next 20).

but there were heaps of tracks left over.

it's such an exhausting listen (imagine MAKING the fuckers) that i couldn't bear releasing any more of them at the time. now it's been a year, and i'm sick of them sitting on my computer taking up space. so i decided to finish them off (which meant a bunch more layers) and give them to you. besides, it's not like 2021 is any less full on than 2020 was.

while i was exploring the dark depths of my hard drives, i also found a bunch of unfinished tracks from many years ago that seemed to have the same glutwave aesthetic, so i chucked them into the mix.

this time, instead of leaving the curation and ordering all up to the robots, i decided fuck it, i'm going to use my humyn privilege and make all the decisions my goddamn self. so much in the world at the moment is out of my hands, so taking a little power back felt good.

many ridiculous layers later, GLUTWAVE 2 and 3 are finished. believe it or not, there are still so many unreleased bits and pieces of this nonsense, but i'm thinking now i'll probably just delete them. i mean, how much of this shit could you stand to listen to?

(but, knowing me, i won't delete them at all - instead, they'll end up up in fragments cut up into other works, or as source material for audiomulch breakcore sessions, or stretched, or midi piano, or octaverted, or...)

anyway... here you are. glutwave 2.

oh, and the numbers in the track titles are clues, but not to anything interesting.
