I thought silver-linings were heaven-sent...
Suddenly I see, when it came and went,
All I got was bronze and a bottle of beer,
So what's the point in feeling the fear?
Looking back, with a rose in your eye,
Those better days, in the rear-view mirror.

Time will tell when the tide comes in,
Who shines with grace, who's lost in sin.
Some might say, in two weeks time,
"I'll see the sun, I'll breathe again".
When the clouds don't drift, and the tears don't drip,
Will you soak that sun in another dream?
Now it's out of reach, and so far away,
Those better days, where we should have stayed.
