DipSoNic Pt1 from SHIPPAI by magic marmalade machine

Explainer:

It was a big mistake. I drank heavily. Again.
It stretched family relationships to breaking point. A big mistake.
DipSoNic Pt1 represents the struggle and discord of an alcohol affected brain.
Art reflects life - good and not so good… after ‘the mistake’ something had to change. I started recording alcohol unit consumption.
I wanted to turn it into music.
The unit data used to generate the sonification is numerically accurate.
This was converted into a graph depicting daily and weekly unit totals over 3 months.
This was then processed in RGB MusicLab to generate the raw sounds in MIDI which were further processed in Logic Pro to create the soundtrack you can hear.
