This song was inspired by a poem by Constantine P. Cavafy (1863-1933). To me, the poem encourages the reader to set fear aside and dive into new experiences, enjoy the journey of life and embrace a sense of adventure.

Carl Noon's early work included writing and singing in acoustic duo ‘The Original Virgins’, during years spent living in New York. One album released with its LGBT+ themes found a small but dedicated following. The Covid era gave Noon time to focus on writing and led to his decision to study an MA in Songwriting through Bath Spa University. He graduated in January 2024.
