This sentiment is what is at the heart of BRIDGE. It is the makeup of our current sound and it is why it took us five years to release an official recording.
The BRIDGE sound has been a question of its own evolution - how would a duo create purposeful music in a genre populated by bigger sounds? In the end, it was the willing acceptance and communication of minimalism that led to the original compositions and reharmonizations we offer in this recording.
We are proud of the sounds we create. We hope you enjoy it.

Formed in late 2019, BRIDGE Jazz is comprised of Nick Gummeson (piano/vocals) and Chad Ball (bass). BRIDGE harnesses the power and intimacy of modern harmony and combines it with the open space allowed by a duo.
Although they are rooted in the piano trios of NYC, and introspection of European jazz, the BRIDGE sound is unlike what you've heard in the past.
