I went to sleep in
A bed of yew growth
And welcomed the softened sky
But cruel are moments
Sober and joyless
When I wake, all the needles die

Breath
And hope you’re fine
I lost my wicker hair
Caught in crossfire
I wish I weren’t aware

I woke up punctured
I woke up so fast
I was grabbed by some violent force
And then I’ll need you
To keep me standing
Please don’t let all we did end

I’ll breath
And hope you’re fine

That stalks in open air
I don’t know what to do about it
It burns in every wound
I hope we’ll find some clearer thought
I just want us to rest
I just want us to laugh
