COMPACTOR is an interconnected set of mostly obsolete machinery that is manipulated by an anonymous, representational figure known as The Worker, for the Waste MGT corporation. The machinery creates largely atonal and often rhythmic audio, a soundtrack to the daily grind. Each Audio Work Document has a different subject and corresponding sonic focus, often some aspect of work and/or technology.
