Fractured from Orange Sun by Craig Redpath

Fractured was one of the first songs I’d written after deciding to go solo with my music. It was written at a time when I was experiencing a lot of disillusionment with the political landscape in the UK, but was also finding myself arguing with friends about topics I thought we would mutually agree on (my best friend just become my worst enemy). Deep, I know! The melody was from a song I’d written about 10 years prior called Seasonal Love. I think it has a very Paul Weller feel about it in terms of the chord progression, he is someone I admire hugely and definitely have been influenced by. I didn’t have a band at the time of recording this song so I play everything other than bass on it (thanks Ding).
