Stassney (Formerly NYT Heat) has left behind the Bombast of his last release in favor of a polished, seductive R&B vibe. Where stood tracks that could be soundtracks to Miami Vice now lurk the impatient romance of tracks like "Bible Study". Where Tropics and Rec sounded like it was set in a disco or at a party in a vacation home, Stassney seems to have invited us back to his bedroom studio. The lights are down, the tone of his voice just right, the sounds impeccable. Stassney has grown up, and we are here for it.
