“Is that fog in the distance? No, it is the dust kicked up by a wedding party!” This twentieth-century arrangement combines Bulgarian folk melodies with elements of Western choral music.
Culomba is a professional vocal quintet specializing in close harmony folk singing. Our repertoire spans American shape-note music, polyphonic songs of Georgia, Corsica, and the Balkans, renaissance polyphony, and original compositions. Our singers have toured internationally and studied with masters of these traditions, bringing their eclectic specialties to this unique ensemble.
