Blasphemy Perpetuated by Damned By The Pope

In the not-too-distant future, genetically engineered and biomechanically enhanced superhumans become prevalent throughout every facet of human development, including the arms race, where private corporations spend an incalculable amount on research and testing to contrive state of the art supersoldiers, neurologically modified to serve a ruthless theological absolutist who has silently ascended to power by cleverly usurping the Holy See. The usurper emerges as Supreme Pontiff of the Vatican and is bestowed universal authority over the worldwide Catholic Church, inevitably using his authoritative power to denigrate political enemies and incite violence against the disquieted malcontents. God-fearing citizens of the world view him as a strong, virtuous, charismatic leader and champion his bold demagoguery, supporting his autocratic ambition to extend Papal supremacy beyond the church. A decree is mandated to all who oppose his ascendancy, formally issuing an ultimatum to choose between conformity or annihilation, and a scorched-earth policy is initiated against the dissident factions of Earth’s rebel forces and its remaining civilizations, tactfully destroying indispensable resources in an attempt to starve out and eradicate dissenters. These sects are now referred to by the Vatican as Generations Perverse, and utterances from the clergy echo the canon that Blasphemy Perpetuated against God will be subdued by force, and heretics who refuse to acquiesce will be doomed to suffer an afterlife of eternal damnation in the abode of the dead. Hundreds of millions attempt to revolt. However, their primitive combat tactics are useless against the stratagems deployed by the highly advanced cybernetic army. Many are captured and forced to take an oath of allegiance lest they face execution; subsequently, they are conscripted to fulfill Vows Of Repugnance, becoming expendable ciphers on the frontlines and tormented with the responsibility to seek out and eliminate their fellow man. Other survivors are cryogenically suspended and psychologically inserted into a replicated simulation of the world they once knew and for them, it is nothing less than the Death Of Self. Their vessels are immured within pods, where their bodies are force-fed nutrients for continued survival while their life-force is slowly drained of their spiritual essence, ceaselessly and endlessly Feeding The Deity.
