DDD is hyped to welcome Portland’s next underground bass lord, Phydra - coming in with a two tracker so dark, sinister and disturbing it will have you listening to Aphex Twin’s Come To Daddy (Pappy Mix) as a form of audio therapy.
The sound design is monstrous, the percussion thunderous and the sub frequencies punishing - all packaged within artwork based around “biblically accurate” and terrifying depictions of angels - and working with fellow Portland bass badman, Blanck, on Buster.
Phydra is a producer at the peak of his technical prowess, yet doing so in ways that will leave you shaken in a pit of bass-induced terror.
Ready for audio nightmares? Phydra’s a menace set to bust the doors down.
