He came to the next practice straight from work and his notepad fell out of his bag, open at a page of meeting notes where the only note he'd taken was the word "give". It might have had a bullet point. To bring those two ideas together...."a blip in the universe" speaks of our insignificance, whether that blip is earth or an individual upon it. For some people, that insignificance can be humbling. It can help put their personal concerns into perspective. Some people, on the other hand, refuse to acknowledge their own insignificance and this causes them to put their own needs above those of others, like they are somehow more important, like they have more significance. To those people we say "you are as insignificant as me, or anyone else.We only really have two things of any value - planet Earth and each other.
