I wonder if there’s something
To this thing that they call love
Is it something like money
In that few have plenty of
Could it be I’m one of many
That’s singled out
To be the lonely type

Where are the happy moments
And the times you can’t forget
Are you allowed a certain number
In your life, an equal set
Am I rich or am I poor
For what I feel, I’ve felt a long, long time

I’m looking for something else

Feel glad to be alive

I’ve imagined other people
In their every day routine
A loner in New Hampshire
A New York beauty queen
Is the beauty happy
Simply ‘cause she smiles
And turns a young man’s head

And the loner walks the streets
And he’s looking at the ground
He’s thinking about a girl he knew
And the new love that she’s found
He remembers how he hurt when she left
His heart in his hands

Looking for something else
