DJ Cracker Jacks - Social Distancing (New Full Album) Brought together by the electronic lifestyle and a love of music DJ Cracker Jacks have come to melt your speakers with their 31st long player, Social Distancing. A three piece very much in the vein of Kraftwerk if they were just a three member band, they’re a no-nonsense bunch who deliver a bawdy, ballsy brand of remixes and mashups that will appeal to fans right across the music spectrum. They produce a glitched-down sound that’s devoid of any fluff; it’s just pure impact. DJ Cracker Jacks sit with the best trios (Anvil, The Beatles without Ringo, ZZ Top) and deliver an equally punchy sound.

Opening salvo ‘All I'm Saying (Cracker Jacks Remix)’ arrives like an avalanche and proceeds to swing like a huge wrecking ball. Skull’s bass is delivered with a ground shaking rumble and it’s underpinned by the marching army that is Rily N'so's drumming.

‘Jethro Tull - Cross Eyed Mary Remix’ is another stomper that’s wrapped up in a circling maelstrom which points to a space rock vibe and is akin to a four minute, brutal curbstomp. ‘Metaltronic (DJ Cracker Jacks Mix)’ is hard and heavy yet infused with a strong melody. The pounding drums and bass are interspersed with bluesy noodling, with each acting as a foil to the other. Patiently building a brutalist sonic structure ‘Dragula Hast’ is simply a huge Tower of Babel that rises above the listener and threatens to topple and crush with its enormity. ‘Gone in The Name Of’ finds the band back on familiar ground.
