An interstellar bass craft takes it's maiden voyage with Mentha’s tastefully diverse approach to music and production as the epic journey of enlightenment and solitude embark. Opening with raw electric meditations - an ambient psychedelic pad graced by a deeply emotional lead line - we are guided into newly discovered dimensions. Breaking through the atmosphere into the stars, the massive sub bass line drops before the beat, developing the building tension. All of a sudden we find ourselves in space. Surrounded by luscious, ever developing waves of smooth live guitars (played by Mentha himself), sensuous layers of synths and strings and an overarching dub beat which drives the intensity, we are returned home with the timeless melodic dreamscape that is Absence.

For an absolutely stunning flip, melodic California Dubstep groundbreakers Subtle Mind step up with their brilliantly jazzy yet DJ friendly remix of Absence. This tune is filled with pure soul. Mixing complimentary stabs from Saxophones with laid back Rhodes grooves and peppered with snippets of hyper sexy keyboard licks, this version paints a chilled out groovy perspective on the original. Subtle Mind reaches out to the edges of harmonic cohesion and perfectly nails it with the thoughtfully edited sub lines, like a robot who learned to play bass with Herbie Hancock's band.
