Polar Isolation by Scott Lawlor

Scott Lawlor returns to earthMANTRA with more than 3 hours of new music on his latest release - Polar Isolation.

Scott's music has for me always been about slow-moving articulation - an unhurried development of sound and symbolism that carries the listener along as it builds. On "Polar Isolation", Scott takes this approach to the next level, delivering an album (or three!) of slowly shifting monolithic music designed to carry you to the extreme edges of our planet's ecosystem. Scott had this to say about the release.

"This monumental 2 disc set explores a favorite season of mine, Winter. In particular, its extremes through atmospheric and ambient interpretations of such phenomena as the Polar Night and the Cryosphere, which is the frozen part of the earth’s water system."

In addition to the two album discs, there is a third bonus disc of original and alternate versions of several tracks in the download. All in all, it's 4.5 hours of new music from one of the very best in drone ambient.
