Eclíptica by Earzumba

Proyecto ECLIPTICA: Con la idea de que ciencia y cultura interactuen entre sí el Observatoroi Astronòmico de Castelltallat y Gracia territori sonor,diseñaron el proyecto/dispositivo pionero llamado Ecliptica,que tiene como plataforma base el observatorio mismo. Teniendo como punto de partida la observación de la via lactea durante 9 dias la idea es que cada compositor cree una obra que sea estrenada en vivo al final de la experiencia.

I was invited by Gracia Territori Sonor to become a resident of their eclíptica project for 10 days. With the idea that science and culture interact in between them ,the astronomic observatory of castelltallat ( catalunya) and GTS design this pioneer project called Ecliptica,that has as a plataform the observatory itself.Having as starting point the observation of the milky way the idea is that each composer create a music that will be premiere live at the end of the experience.

commissioned by Gracia Territori Sonor, following a nine day period of watching the sky above at some observatory, also in Barcelona. Here we have deep end bass rumble in the first section, a cosmic rumble in the short second, but the main gem is the last section, which lasts almost twenty four minutes. Here we have an interesting piece of almost modern classic music, with a melodic piano tune, which evolves into a more abstract level of synthesizer music, with loops and such like, and lifted spoken word material. Spacious, floating in air, this is more abstract cosmic music than what is commonly sold as such. Very nice!(FdW)VITAL
