Thinner from Thinner by Elias Hix
Written on a ukulele in the upstairs room of his grandmother's house during a Christmas party in 2020, Thinner is the song that inspired Elias Hix Workman to crate the album named for the song Thinner. The song is an expression of Elias' feeling that he is below his relationship partner. As stated in the first two lines, "Your words they flow like water, I grow but you're still taller" Elias is expressing that he sees his partner as perfect in every way and feels that he can not reach their level of perfection. Despite seeing them as perfect he knows that their treatment of him is wrong; leading to the line "And I'll wait in this river, Like summer words I'm thinner". Elias knows he can not be with this person for the sake of his well-being but he is determined to wait for them. But as time passes, the love he feels is growing thinner.
