Harka OST by Eli Keszler
Eli Keszler’s original soundtrack for Lotfy Nathan’s award-winning feature film Harka. Premiering at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, Harka tells the story of a young Tunisian man left to take care of two younger sisters in the wake of his father’s death, and his dream for a better life in Europe.
A dark and furious motion picture, it won the Un Certain Regard Award for Best Performance in Cannes for Adam Bessa’s lead role, before winning Best Director and Best Actor at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
Keszler’s soundtrack reflects the incendiary, interior and bleak landscape of the film, while displaying his abilities as a multi-instrumentalist - it sees him playing guitar, bass, piano, mellotron, synthesizers, celeste, udu, drums and percussion.
