Once upon a time in the morasses of somewhere
Hundreds of years ago
Hidden behind shrubs and tufts of grass
Smoothed out by wind and water

In the shadow of a boulder, lying on the ground
To be found by a shepherd girl
There was a stone taken as a goodluck charm
Without knowing its mystery

You don't expect a feeling
Don't think that it's true
But there's a mind inside it
Believing in you

This maid not wise enough but chaste in all her thoughts
In the course of time she felt some warmth
Coming out of the stone into her small cold hands
Clasping her treasure holding it tight

She couldn't find a reason for that miracle
Couldn't believe what's done to her
There was an inside voice warning her
But the temptation was too strong

You don't expect a feeling
Don't think that it's true
But there's a mind inside it
Believing in you

Look this stone is living, take it in your hand

She went away from home, met a hermit in his cave
And learned of things unknown
That there's a sprite locked in and if she'd help him out
She would be asked what she would wish
