why do we stay glued to news feeds til we’re sleeping?
the news feeds us views skewing scenes, losing meaning
most sleep on the truth few see so keep boosting
and keep connecting dots for connects we keep losing
the press press the world with their threats and lies, far and wide til our hearts and minds are terrified and scared to fight, desensitized to genocides so we’re dead inside
til we can't recognize in our eyes the depths of life
they try to twist what we see til we can’t decide
they make us pick a side and see evil is justified
as if we'll brush it off, adjust to life
as if the rage is just a phase but they'll keep lying to gaslight
some quote their status and the quo they must keep
these limited liability countries
staying with the threads til we rip that one seam
revealing powers pulling puppet strings that have been kept unseen
