The latest release on Future Avenue welcomes back Gerardo Portillo with his new "Nómada EP". A prominent figure in Mexico's electronic music scene, Gerardo has been passionate about music since the age of 18, carrying forward his father's legacy. Known for his dynamic presence, he has shared the stage with renowned national and international artists such as Gepri, Mapiu, Karlos Elizondo, Tini Tun, Gabriel I, Frankie & Sandrino, Khen, and BOg. As a key artist on Mexico's leading label, Tenampa Recordings, and a resident DJ at Mexico City's iconic Hookah Lounge, Gerardo has solidified his reputation over the years. He also spearheaded the "Triangles" project from 2017 to 2019, showcasing talents like Audioholic, Neftali Blasko, Rodrigo Cortazar, Jesús Olvera, and Omar.
The "Nómada EP" features exceptional remixes by Rodrigo Cortazar, Stae, and Simio Albino, each adding their unique flair to Gerardo's original work.
Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music.
