Genetic Ritual is a techno label rooted in minimalism, emotional intensity, and the raw fundamentals of club culture - movement, freedom, soul, and shared energy. Genesis serves as the project’s first statement of intent, alternating between both artists to present a cohesive and forward-facing vision for the imprint.
Opening the release is Arucal’s ‘1994’, a thunderous techno trip driven by heavy low-end, undulating synth work, swirling textures, and breath-laden, warped vocal elements. cause_effect follows with ‘Connection’, maintaining a hypnotic yet high-octane pace through powerful kicks, shuffled hats, glitch-leaning percussion, and cavernous reverbs that push the track into expansive territory.
Arucal returns with ‘Balrog’, harnessing brooding bass swells, pulsating subs, and slowly unfurling atmospherics over stripped-back, rugged drums. cause_effect then raises the intensity on ‘Unfold’, blending modulating synth lines and metallic tones with a tight, driving rhythmic core. Closing the EP, French producer Odium delivers a deep, atmospheric reinterpretation of ‘Unfold’, reshaping its core elements into a moody, percussive counterpart that rounds off the package with finesse.
