Being Human from Six Degrees by Glenda Rae & The Essentials

The concept I had for the intro of this tune was to simulate a symphony in it's tuning stages, prior to a concert.
When I'm composing music to a tune I'll often have an idea miles away from my studio, so, to retain the idea, I phone my answering machine and leave a goofy little song message which contains the "seed" of what the song should sound like. This particular tune uses the actual answering machine recording during the second part of the intro section.

The lyrics for this tune were inspired by a young couple riding on the skytrain as Glenda Rae was on her way to a gig. The two of them were oblivious to the rest of the passengers but so in love it was like watching a play being acted out in front of an uninvited audience.
