Checkpoint is a collection of experimental sessions I recorded back in 2019. The whole EP was made quickly and without much thought. Over the years I've grown fond of it, and it's one of my favorite projects.

The record was inspired by Kanye West's Yeezus, which I had recently listened to. I loved the harsh industrial sounds and wanted to do my own personal take on that style.

While it may seem there was additional production to achieve the distorted synths found here, there wasn't any: everything was done by using the distortion DSP feature on my Yamaha.
