For Mairead is a found tape of lo-fi IDM and ambient soundscapes which reveals a young romantic nostalgia warped by age and the elements.

The two sides of the found tape addressed ‘For Mairead’ were labelled:

A: To remind you of those days and nights we spent together during the summer holidays of 2001

B: That feeling when we thought we could do anything we wanted and nothing would ever change between us

For Mairead is a love letter to another when. And even though we may not know who Mairead is, or who made this music for her, it captures a particular place at a particular moment in time. The fact it was made, then shared, and it still exists to listen to is all that matters.
