Wake from Maya by Holiwater Band
Wake evokes an ancient Celtic procession of the dead which has its counterpart in present day Varanasi in the lines of mourners carrying the bodies of their departed through the streets towards the ever-burning pyres of Manikarnika Ghat.
A collective of artists from UK, India and New Zealand, the band blends classical Indian composition with lush, ambient grooves in a contemporary style.
