'valley almanac' was recorded during the spring and summer of two-thousand and sixteen in Evan's bedroom and features field recordings from jaycee gardens and decew falls, inspired by frequent hikes in the decew falls river basin and power glen's hydro hill, 'valley almanac' is charged with summer memories riding the rope swing and swimming behind the waterfall at morning star mill with friends, inspiration is credited to the following insects; ebony jewelwing, twelve-spotted skimmer, common whitetail, brown darner, mourning cloak, giant swallow tail, banded woolly bear and hickory tussock moth, this record is a collection of world music experiments and square-wave recordings played on synthesizer and midi control, acoustic guitar appears on tracks three, five and eight and recorder can be heard on track eight, cover photograph taken at decew falls and edited by Evan Wiens.
