Fractals captured
from the rays of the sun
Casting unto the gleaming beacon of the Lunar sphere
set up so high
Atop the welkin
whereupon the shroud
Of the nightside veil
drapes upon the land

Breath of freezing winds
Casting chilling whispers
Entertwining through the crowns of the pine

And thus
Relieved of the solar heat
Brought upon by daylight
Are nocturnal fauna
Now rising from their slumber

Spectres of the sentinels
And manifested gods
Of the untamed forest looming here
Beyond this mortal sight

Their emanating presence
Of ancient heathen mystery
As forgotten totems are still
Anchored to this wilderness

Drawn in by the fragrance
An incense from the twilight world
Lead beyond the thicket
Where the lupine watchers dwell

Thrust into their lair and remained unscathed

form possesses

Joined by my ethereal brethren

Into the ancient temples the old ones designed
Nestled in the wilderness.

The dance of embers
From the spectral altars
Reflect the deeper purity here
Lost to mankind

How I treasure these visitations to the other side
A cleansing walk among the mystic realm beyond my corporeal shell
