Ten years after Thirty, Downfall explores a different kind of collapse.
You could call it 'Fourty'...but it's not.

Where Thirty processed grief, Downfall explores psychological fragmentation: the weight of accumulated pressure, the urge to disappear far from the social veneer, the feeling of never belonging, a vital need to rebuild...

Conceived as a soundtrack to an imaginary film, the album follows someone who abandons everything overnight. But like all Irezumi works, the fiction is a vessel for something real... A need to reconnect with the abyss while keeping
enough distance to stay alive.

With a different approach than previous albums, these tracks reflect the fractures of a mind in crisis. Each format (CD, vinyl, digital) offers a different fragment of the story, reflecting the confusion at its core.

Different paths are taken, but the goal remains the same: to heal.

Dix ans après Thirty, Downfall plonge dans un autre type d'effondrement. On pourrait l'appeler 'Fourty'...mais ce n'est pas ça.

Là où Thirty traitait du deuil, Downfall explore la fragmentation psychologique : le poids de la pression accumulée, l'envie de disparaître loin du vernis social, le sentiment de ne jamais être à sa place, un besoin vital de se reconstruire...

Conçu comme la bande originale d'un film imaginaire, l'album suit quelqu'un qui abandonne tout du jour au lendemain. Mais comme toutes les œuvres d'Irezumi, la fiction est un réceptacle pour quelque chose de réel... Un besoin de se reconnecter avec l'abysse tout en gardant assez de distance pour rester en vie.

Avec une approche différente des albums précédents, ces morceaux reflètent les fractures d'un esprit en crise. Chaque format (CD, vinyl, digital) offre un fragment différent de l'histoire, reflétant la confusion qui en est le cœur.

Différents chemins sont traversés mais le but reste le même : guérir.
