Oh take me down to the river
if my feet can carry the weight.
Water so cold your bones will shiver
wash all my worries away.

Deep in an old forgotten meadow
found a shelter for broken bones.
Ponder upon old forgotten riddles
in the calm before the storm.


And here we stand and wonder what all of this was for
and here we are by the river bed like the day before

I said goodbye to you in a dream
left a hole in my heart like no other
it echoes while the humming bird sing

Feel my head going under
the coolness of your kiss stings my cheek
called home by the sound of roaring thunder
find shealter as the heavens start to weep
