Just a pocket full of sin
The persistence of skin
gets shorter than the days

When there ain’t nowhere you’re in
and the dark comes through again
and your skin feels just like lead
The stars have all gone astray

You wonder what’s wrong and you laugh inside
and you dance around under ivory lights
You wish you could fool time goof time mine sight
You wish for a liquor that’s quicker than this

You wonder what’s wrong with everybody else
every day sayings on everyone’s shelf
The ventilation pictures me without breath
while you bend over another sketch

I lie down a stretch
I’m the span of time
Look in my own eyes I can read my mind
Look down the barrel of the end of your life
And fie on ambiguity
