Satellite from HYPERPHANTASIA by JUSTIN TATO

For about 8 months in 2024, I stayed in a shared studio space in the Grover building in south central Montreal. I had been working on the first ideas and sketches for what would become Hyperphantasia. I was doing advanced studies of each eurorack module on my modular system and adjusting the system to design the perfect ‘Pallet’ for creating biomimetic sounds. In my explorations of understanding nature through biomimicry, I heard about the dialectics; the process of understanding through the tension between opposites, finding truth or deeper meaning by holding two contradictory ideas in tension. To achieve biomimicry, you need to understand that nature rarely conforms to perfect geometric shapes, straight lines, flawless circles, or exact symmetry, because organic forms are shaped by complex, irregular forces like growth, erosion, chaos, and entropy.
