And finally, the song named after the album! Flightless Bird is a pure distillation of my thoughts after the events of this election. Before tr*mp was re-elected, I was still thinking in an "us vs them" mindset, refusing to see the trees for the forest, getting into meaningless squabbles online.

This is me realizing that the stakes are too high for any of that crap, and that I need to actually meet conservatives where they are in good faith conversations. Something I still struggle tremendously with. But I'm hoping for the sake of all my vulnerable friends and family, that I can rise to the occasion. After all, something smells of bullshit.
