EYVE was written at the edge of the ocean
during a time of uncertainty—an attempt to translate the solace and beauty found amidst chaos.
The album’s lyrics and themes were directly inspired by Carl Sagan’s Cosmos. The pursuit of knowledge—science and exploration—provide hope and excitement for the future. Space exploration and cosmology demand a cosmic perspective as grander scales of time and space are explored.
These songs explore the balance between finding ourselves in the present moment and zooming out to consider the vastness of space and time.
