Standing Tall from Facets by Kylee Brielle

This song is a very personal one to me that was very difficult to write for a long time. It is made up of the confusing whirlwind of emotions one feels when learning about the dark side of someone close. At different times there may be anger, or denial, or pity, and I tried to capture all of those reactions in the lyrics. While in real life this story has a happy ending, this song was written at a time in my life where I felt the most anger with the individual in question, and as such the lyrics don't reflect the changes they made or the help they have since received.
