Long Spring from Less Words by Little Mighty Zebra Rabbit

We spend about a third of our lives soundly asleep
Oblivious to all of nature and man made horrors
Looking out the same decaying window
Seeing the sun turn to moon
The rain fade to bright sun
Easy to admire from a pane glass window
The world spinning slower
And our bodies getting cooler
We jolt back into our daily lives
With no time wasted on the sacrifices of the past
Long before you know it we cycle back again
Only to be reminded that it all feels the same
You'll find yourself back at the same point you started
Too long lingering on what went wrong
And we forgot to see the flowers bloom
For all of our time wasting away
Our ocean boiling
Begin to see the little things in life
The large things will come and go
Squished behind those devilish eyes
Give nothing back to grow
Littering stained floors
Into glassy eyes
They claim to build character
But in the short window they leave an impact
Breaking down and striping you of your parts
Gone before you're able to wonder
What went wrong
What could've gone better
Go about your daily life
Wake up and it's the same idea
Meet the deadline
And before long you're old and weary
Unable to achieve what you once did
Discarded and thrown out
Left to wonder on your own
Your aging bones no longer needed
Left to decay in a modern state
One that looks down on those lesser
Equal in their arrival and their farewell
