Maher Cissoko, born in Casamance, Senegal, has lived in Sweden for 15 years and is known in folk and world music. A master of the 22-string Kora, his family has passed down the tradition for over 700 years. He’s received major awards and worked with artists like Tiganá Santana and Timbuktu. His new album Kora World is out now.
