This is the debut album by Manchester and Oxford musical collective Octavia Freud & The Weird Sisters. It features Mancunian electronic producer Octavia Freud and a host of vocal guests from the Oxford music scene, including Emma Hunter, Mila Todd, The Bobo, Pet Twin, Kate Hicks and Cate Debu.
The album is based on a script by David Lemberg which updates Shakespeare's Macbeth tale 400 years to the rave scene in 90's Manchester. The album follows the events of Macbeth who is nightclub owner, drug dealer and murderer as he and his DJ wife, Lady M kill their crime boss Duncan to become King and Queen of Manchester.
The album concludes with an introduction to the narration of the story by Octavia Freud who recounts his experiences DJing at Glam-iz nightclub where the Macbeth's run their drug empire from. The complete narration is available at mancbeth.co.uk
