[after hours] by Masikus
After working on an album of original songs and then shelving the album out of frustration, I felt like I needed to do something different. So I decided to start chopping up samples and making beats using songs from some of my favorite video games. My one rule for myself was to start and finish each song in one day. Fast forward about a year later and [after hours] is the result of that little experiment. I hope the album sounds as fun as it was to make.
[UPDATE: 12.31.20] There's no way this album would've been made had it not been for the massive influence MF DOOM had on me as a musician and as a music fan. DOOM's influence is all over this album in obvious and not so obvious ways. So I dedicate this to the memory of him.
